Hot Food For Cold Weather…

Ham and Lentil Soup.

Take 3 ham stock cubes and put in to pan 3/4 full of water.  Bring to the boil.  Add a small cup of lentils.  Grate 2 large carrots, grate 1 medium potato, chop up a leak and add to the boiling water.  Add seasoning to taste.  Quarter 4 medium potatoes and add to the pot.  Simmer for about an hour.  Butter 2 slices of crusty bread or soda bread, serve up your soup and enjoy!  A hearty lunch or dinner….yum!
