Did anyone see the news segment yesterday talking about the sugar contained in ‘healthy’ fruit juicies – incredible! They did a survey of people on the street and they thought there was about 3 – 4 teaspoons of sugar in the OJ – turns out there were 16! Pomegranate juice had 22!
Many people think they are being healthy by drinking these juices, but taking the above report in to consideration, that simply is not true. And you would think that perhaps you could go on to diet soda’s, but they are loaded not only with sugar but with mind-altering aspartame (Wise Geek has said that aspartame can cause altering mood, developing phobias, anxiety, depression or extreme irritability) and other sweeteners!
Make your own juice if you want to have juice, at least the sugars are naturally contained in the fruit. But it is probably better to eat the fruit as part of your 5 a day as this keeps it in the condition that mother nature intended, drink 2 litres of water per day.
